Elizabeth Gama, Ph.D.
Dr. Gama is a respected and accomplished consultant in Brazil where she conducts individual selection and development assessments for organizations hiring for management positions or seeking to develop their managers and executives. She also works as an executive coach providing training and feedback in areas causing performance limitations or in areas in which people seek development in their careers.  With management groups, she works in team development projects, assessing team performance and delivering 360°-feedback and training in leadership, coaching and performance management.Dr. Gama received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota in the USA.  In 1989 she returned as a Fulbright post-doctoral scholar and pursued studies in the area of Achievement Motivation and Qualitative Research.  A native of Brazil, she spent a large portion of her professional career as a university professor of the Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo in Brazil, where she taught for many years and held several administrative positions. An accomplished researcher, she has published many articles and presented papers in national and international professional meetings in the area of cross-cultural counseling, women’s achievement and attribution and achievement.  Dr. Gama and her family moved to the United States and was employed by Personnel Decisions International in 1999. She worked in the Twin Cities Operating Office as a senior consultant delivering assessment, training and coaching services to PDI’s clients.  Having moved back to Brazil early 2002, she established her own company, named Develop, through which she continues to provide services to national and international companies.  As a partner of PDI in Brazil, Develop provides services to several of its clients as well as other Brazilian companies.  Clients with whom she has worked closely include Ibope, Aços Villares, Hewlett Packard, Royal Dutch Shell, Unilever, The Inter-American Development Bank, Medtronic, Ecolab, Avery Dennison, Coca-Cola, Wal-Mart Brazil, Bandag, among others. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her children and extended family, relaxing at their beach house, reading and traveling.
